The revolutionary design of Saeco’s Aqua Prima Water Filter purifies tap water by eliminating harmful substances while keeping important taste-enhancing minerals. The Aqua prima system locks straight into your water tank and filters water, on demand, through a four-stage filtration system. 1. The Aqua prima filter forces water through activated carbon, which eliminates odors and other unpleasant substances such as chlorine. The silvering of the carbon inhibits the reproduction of bacteria, so the water remains clean inside the filter. 2. An ion exchanger reduces lime deposits and eliminates heavy minerals. 3. A special porous filter traps any undesirable micro-particles. 4. The filter connects the tank and the machine eliminating substances and impurities that are suspended in the water. Not only is the Aqua prima filter system healthy for you, it also keeps your machine clean and healthy. Each Aqua Prima cartridge can filter up to 15 gallons of water, or approximately 1000 / 2oz espressos. Your Aqua Prima filter should be replaced every 3 months for optimal performance.
